Aint that just typical !
August 5th, 2007
Last night daddy looked after Andrew whilst I thought I’d get some much needed sleep, sniggering smugley under my hand that he would experience a night from hell that I had been having for the last 3 months.
Now I say ‘TYPICAL’ because guess who decided to do his first nights sleep without waking up for a single feed, yes you guessed it, our son, perfectly timed as always, only poor daddy is feeling tired today because he was up at 6am, no comment.
I on the other hand had a lie in ’til 8am, thats almost 10 hours sleep, I’ve not slept like that since before I was pregnant… oh the old days, I remember I used to think a lie in meant waking up after noon and now I’m more than chuffed at an 8am start.
Andrews 15 weeks old today, its like we’ve never been without him…and I know its a little early but we tried him on a bit of rusk at lunch and I think he quite enjoyed it, we’ll have him on pizza and kebabs by the time he’s one. I’m kind of looking forward to trying him on new foods, apparently beetroot is one that should have a nappy warning on it, for the colour aspect.
I bought a book on making your own baby purees earlier in the week and I cant wait to try some of the recipes out, were going to be really good as far as food is concerned and until he’s old enough to ask for all the bad stuff like chocolate he’s not going to even know it exists. Now if only could forget it was out there we’d be onto a winner.
Oh and I promise we’ll get some up to date pics up here soon.
I hope everyones doing ok, those of you weve not been to see for a while but I guess you’ll understand, kids do distract you a little from any kind of social life.
Bye for now from our ever changing, manic, sleep deprived but very, very happy home X
