When you see your gp for the first time youre told that you should watch what you eat and to have a good balanced diet, well shouldnt you always… but thats easier said than done the first 12 weeks which includes the fantastic bout of morning sickness which as all you mums out there will know definatly doesnt contain itself to the mornings, anytime really, morning, mid-morning, lunch time after lunch, you get the picture… well trying to keep anything down or even get near food without retching is a triumph in itself.
Now this wasn’t the case for me, i had to have food in my hand not to feel ill, unfortunatly healthy food wasn’t what my stomach decided it could keep down, so if it was green it made me green.
Now im over the bad bit, the sickness is gone and i can eat like i should, well most of the time anyway. I do however have what seems like a constant hunger, i can probably go about an hour before having to eat, and im trying to be good so plenty of fruit and veg, 2 portions of fish a week, drinking lots mainly fresh orange and vimto at the mo and last week i thought id treat myself to a strawberry tart, well it has fruit in it afterall…bad bad idea, the next week i went out each day and had to buy cake, this however im trying to curb, not had cake today, woopee for me, cos if i dont il be one big momma and baby weight is one thing that breast feeding is supposed to help deal with but cake weight i somehow dont think it’ll shift.
So cakes on hold and a nice healthy chinese for tea, im being good honest, no side order of ribs, well maybe just the one
Il pop back with updates and i’ll try and keep things healthy, promise
Bye for now

Shortly after we got back from our honeymoon we had to get used to a slight adjustment to our new married lives…
Were pregnant!!! and were so excited!!!
Were 14 weeks and we had our first scan last week, alls going well now the morning sickness is over, touch wood, and the next scan is due on the 15 November, we cant wait to see our baby again, its such a long while this being pregnant thing, youre told its 9 months but 40 weeks to us looks a lot more like 10 months.
The mums were chuffed to bits when we told them they were going to be grandmas and have already started picking out little outfits and crocheting to thieir hearts content.
We’ve kinda decided not to find out the sex of the baby and to let it be a surpise but it’s still something we both kind of want to know but we’ll see, they’ll be able to tell at our next scan.
I, Cat, think its going to be a boy and Steven thinks its a girl… take your bets please
Were going to keep popping back with thoughts and feelings so check back soon to see how the new parents are getting on
1st scan photo to follow, going to have to get daddy to sort that one out as im slightly computer illiterate
Cacha all very soon,
The proud parents.
