This bonfire night there was no bonfire but Andrew saw fireworks for the first time and understood what they were.

We told him that we had fireworks for after we had eaten tea and that was it, we didn’t hear the last of it ’til they were being lit, needless to say Andrew didn’t eat much tea on Thursday.

We took them into the garden and I stood well back, Im not a fan of fireworks…they terrify me, anyway Steven lit the first one and Andrew screamed with delight and this was repeated with each and every firework.

We only got a small box from asda because we didn’t know if he would like them or not but they were a hit for certain and he wanted more when they had all been set off.

Next year Steven wants to get some rockets and some really noisey fireworks, I think I might have to give that a miss, we got the quieter ones this year and I kept on running every time one was set off. I think we, well those two can go to an organised one next year, that way Andrew can see some really good ones without having to watch mummy running for cover.

What I want to know is why don’t two year olds understand the concept of an extra hour in bed when the clocks go back, then again who actually understands why we bother putting the clocks back anyway.

To improve ‘quality of life’ I’ve just been informed, reducing road accidents etc, apparently some people think it should be more like 2-3 hours.

Why bother I say, it confuses people every year, I know it always does me. Not to mention the confusion when it comes to people and work start times, collections from taxis in the early hours on that Sunday morning and kids that want to get out of bed at unreasonable times.

One year, before Andrew was born, Steven and I went to stop in a bed and breakfast in Caernarfon, Wales and we specifically asked for an ‘as late as possible’ breakfast, we were the first down that morning, the owner of the B’n'B thought we were out of our tree, she did have a really nice persian cat though from what I remember and we got it to ourselves for the whole breakfast.

Anyway thats my mini ramble over for now.
I hope you all got a lie in you jammy lot, Im jealous by the way if you were wondering.

Back to Balamory for me, if only that was true, well Tobermory not sure if I could spend the whole day listening to PC Plum and Miss Hooley.

My new jobs going well and Im still loving it, well whats not to love about being up at 6.30 am and being paid for it, it beats watching cbeebies.

Just as we were all getting better and feeling back to normal again Andrew and I have started with another cold, but fingers crossed this one won’t take a hold. and we won’t lose our voices again, not that this would be a bad thing for everyone around us.

Were looking forward to our holiday,were away in 5 weeeks and the count down has begun, we can’t wait, a whole week on a farm in Wales, Andrew is going to love it.

Im off to work in a mo and Steven, Andrew and Bruno are off to Southport for a run on the beach, by lunch time, I’ll have finished work and Andrew will be on his way to dream land, bliss

Well today we were supposed to be going over to Alton towers but that had to be put on hold as Andrews full of a cold and Ive started with it .

Andrew’s even lost his voice, well most of it, a full voice gone may have been a blessing in duisguise but instead its just got rid of the screachyness (if thats even a word) the whineyness is still there.

Its not helped by the fact that Im less than my usual patient self and Im sooo tired, so Im particularly grouchy, big deep breaths only get you so far through the day.

Steven seems to be ok so far so was still up for going today and kept asking this morning should we still go, I was convinced it was no last night but lets just wait until the man flu sets in shall we.

Im going to sign off for now ‘cos I just can’t be bothered, so there.

Well over the last couple of weeks its been a battle of willls in this house, Steven snores and can’t seem to be quiet when its time to go to sleep, chatting away to his hearts content about non relevant bla and Andrew wakes at unreasonable times, for example it 4.54am right now and Ive been awake since 3am and all I want to do is sleep.

Does nobody understand I just want to sleep, you would think a little sleep wouldn’t be too much to ask, am I expecting too much?

I even start a new job on Monday which Im really looking forward to, Im going to be an apprentice florist… I’ll get a few hours off this madness and some ‘normal’ adult conversation, I can’t wait

Anyway off to settle another battle, Andrew wants to play guitar and football and Steven wants him to paint,BIG SIIIIIGGGHHHH…….HUGE!
